What salt does an Ecosoft filter need

Can I use regular table salt in an Ecosoft filter?▾
Absolutely not. Table salt contains anti-caking agents, iodine, and other additives that clog the ion-exchange resin. This leads to filter damage and expensive repairs. Only water treatment tablet salt.
Ecosoft sells their own branded salt. Does yours work?▾
Ecosoft doesn't manufacture salt. They rebrand salt from other producers. Our QEMETICA and Sare Turda have equal or higher NaCl purity. The difference is just packaging and price (ours is cheaper).
How often should I add salt to Ecosoft?▾
Check the salt level in the tank weekly. Usually you need to top up every 2-4 weeks. If the tank is nearly empty, don't wait - the filter won't regenerate and will start passing hard water.
